1. Gray scale of LED full-color display
Gray scale concept: Gray scale refers to the number of brightness levels that can be distinguished from darker to brighter in the brightness of a single primary color of an LED full-color display.
The higher the gray level of the LED full-color display, the richer the color and the brighter the color; on the contrary, the display color is single and the change is simple. The improvement of the gray level can greatly improve the color depth, so that the display level of the image color is geometrically increased. The LED grayscale control level is 14bit16bit, which makes the image level resolution details and display effects of high-end display products reach the world's advanced level.
Second, the improvement of the contrast ratio of the LED full-color display
The concept of contrast ratio: In a dark room, the brightness of a white picture (when it is brighter) is divided by the brightness of a black picture (when it is darker). The larger the ratio, the more gradient levels from black to white, and the richer the color expression.
Contrast is one of the key factors affecting visual effects. Generally speaking, the higher the contrast, the clearer the image and the brighter the color. High contrast is very helpful for image clarity, detail performance, and grayscale performance. In some text and video displays with high black and white contrast, high-contrast LED displays have advantages in black and white contrast, clarity, integrity, etc. Contrast has a greater impact on the display effect of dynamic video. Because the light and dark transition in dynamic images is relatively fast, the higher the contrast, the easier it is for human eyes to distinguish such a transition process.
There are two main ways to improve display contrast:
The main method to improve the contrast ratio;
One is to increase the brightness of the display.
The second is to reduce the light reflection coefficient of the display screen surface.
Calculation method:
Contrast = brightness when emitting light (luminous brightness) / brightness when not emitting light (reflection brightness)
To be able to display text and images with uniform brightness, regardless of ambient light, the screen should have sufficient contrast. The brightness when it does not emit light is proportional to the ambient light and the reflection coefficient of the screen, while the contrast ratio is inversely proportional. , try to reduce the light reflection coefficient of the screen surface, the lower the light reflection coefficient of the screen surface material is controlled, the higher the contrast ratio can be guaranteed under the condition that the screen's high luminous intensity remains unchanged. For the control of the surface light reflection coefficient, we use special materials and special operating processes to ensure that the effective light reflection coefficient is not greater than 3.5 percent .
